| Had the same issue with my 1996 P226. I used a Dremel tool with a carbide burr and added a small amount of clearance for the decock lever. |

No, the P-Shim takes the decocking lever 0.008" (standard) or 0.005" (thin) away from the frame. The pin or pivot the the decocking lever rotates on will not allow for a lot more distance away from the frame or it would interfere with the spring retaining notch. The P-shim will help, of course, but from the photo it looks like you'll still need to remove a small amount of grip material for the decocking lever to have proper travel. Done with a Dremel or similar and a bit of care, shouldn't look bad. |

| Had the same problem with the exact same grips on my WG 226, but rather than alter the grips, they fit perfectly on my P226/40 S$W. Will follow this thread to see what Hogue’s response will be.
