| ^^Heat. I use a punch with a dimpled end, heated, to press the end of the rod in.

| https://czcustom.com/knowledge...-in-front-sight.html*Heat one end of the new rod to create a small bulb, insert into the sight base with a short un-melted portion of the rod protruding from the opposite end. Now create another bulb at that opposite end. The rod melts easily. The idea is to create a nice smooth rounded bulb at both ends. Do not allow the flame to directly contact the new rod ends, placing the lighter flame adjacent to the rod ends (about 1") is sufficient heat to achieve best results. Matches leave to much soot on the rod. A (BIC) lighter works best. |
