How to secure a Fiber-Optic in a sight?
My CZ A01 lost the fiber-optic out of the front sight. I have ordered a replacement but don't know hoe to secure it to the sight. Help wanted.

You will cut to size. It will slide in front to rear. You then use a bic lighter to heat the front sight on the muzzle end. It will form to a circular end where you can use your fingers to slightly increase the size of the circle to keep the sight form fitted.

^^Heat. I use a punch with a dimpled end, heated, to press the end of the rod in.

*Heat one end of the new rod to create a small bulb, insert into the sight base with a short un-melted portion of the rod protruding from the opposite end. Now create another bulb at that opposite end. The rod melts easily. The idea is to create a nice smooth rounded bulb at both ends.

Do not allow the flame to directly contact the new rod ends, placing the lighter flame adjacent to the rod ends (about 1") is sufficient heat to achieve best results. Matches leave to much soot on the rod. A (BIC) lighter works best.
