I think Viggo used a big SxS 10 ga with great effect in Appaloosa.

It's been awhile but I think Sean Connery used one in Outland.
And of course Ash with his boomstick made in Grand Rapids Michigan. He does reload in the movie.
In Windtalkers the Sargent uses a shotgun.
