Extreme Prejudice had a great scene with Ranger Jack Benteen using a pump shotgun on a scumbag's foot. "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock "If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley

Yeah, the Alec Baldwin remake was very bad, compared to the original. Just the casting alone made it vastly superior. The only klunker was Ali McGraw, a terrible actress and, IMHO, not really attractive. Sally Struthers married to the guy who played Howard Sprague on the Andy Griffith show was great, and Al Letieri as "Rudy" was just great, He really could do a tantrum.

3 pages and no mention of Hobo With a Shotgun? "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." Sherlock Holmes

I know; it's TV, not a movie, and everyone remembers the Mozambique, but there is a shotgun used in the beginning. Harshest Dream, Reality

As others said, Way of the Gun. I remember the DVD had extras with Taye Diggs and another actor going into detail on the gun training they received. Really great movie from beginning to end.

I'll second L.A. Confidential. They did a good job of making the gunfights seem tense, dangerous, and with no guarantee of success. "Shotgun Ed!"
