My wife is a high school teacher and hates it for that reason. Sends the wrong message.

"No class, we will not be discussing that new show as it sends the wrong message. Instead, we're going to continue our study of Romeo and Juliet..." Cool

I haven't watched it but I did get an email warning about it from my school district where I have a freshman and a 5th grader about its take on suicide etc. they have counselors on hand, etc etc

I looked at it on Netflix....doesn't seem like the kind of thing my kids would watch

I think it's absolutely something your kids should watch followed by an honest discussion.
It illustrates how one kid(s) can destroy another's life and to be more aware of their actions in how it could harm another.

Suicide simply transfers the pain to someone else. I'll leave it at that

Pickin' stones and pullin' teats is a hard way to make a living. But, sure as God's got sandals, it beats fightin' dudes with treasure trails.

We've been tricked, we've been backstabbed, and we've been quite possibly, bamboozled.

I thought it was really stupid, only watched because my wife's depressed teenage sister who constantly threatens to kill herself is super into it.
