Friends of ours own a Donkey sanctuary in AZ, only 1 1/2 hrs from our home. We had an invite to visit, couldn't resist. There are currently 20 Donks, this is their final home, very lucky. The sanctuary is DonkeyDreams.org for anyone interested. Raiding the pantry, fresh hay delivery: Heads or Tails? Just sitting and one wandered over to say "Hi": ________________________________ "Nature scares me" a quote by my friend Bob after a rough day at sea.

I bought a ring light thingamajig, mostly so I could take pictures of the frogs in the dark, but they're getting scarce. So I decided to try it out on my Model 19-4.

Tonight I decided to do my Nagant revolver. I'm mad I forgot my Soviet paratrooper flask at home.

None of these things matter. The real critics just want The Couch!! Train how you intend to Fight Remember - Training is not sparring. Sparring is not fighting. Fighting is not combat.

^Great pix ASG^ A friend of 65 years and retired Green Beret gave me this P38 in 1979 for helping him sell off his gun collection before he moved to Germany. He had been stationed in Berlin during Vietnam and wanted to go back to his then girlfriend and live in Hamburg permanently. That never happened. He is still in Portland OR and has rearmed! The gun has all matching numbers, including the magazine, plus all Nazi markings are intact. The holster is marked 1941 and P38 and has a name written on the inside of the top flap. ________________________________________________________ The trouble with trouble is; it always starts out as fun.

Rifles are a lot harder to do.

Nice rifle shots, side views are the hardest to compose. I have been doing cover photography for a monthly gun magazine for 32 years and I HATE it when a rifle is the requested subject. ________________________________________________________ The trouble with trouble is; it always starts out as fun.

I don't have nearly enough gear and hats and other assorted gak to sprinkle around the rifles, at least if I want it to be "correct" stuff. I could always do the Apocalyptic Militia look, mix and match all my crap for funsies. Don't you do the covers for the WAC's Gun News? Or was that someone else?

That's the one. Dec. Issue will be the last printed GunNews Magazine due to WAC's declining revenue stream. The change in WA gun laws has threatened the end of a 70 year run. ________________________________________________________ The trouble with trouble is; it always starts out as fun.

Weak sauce. I've got the November one here, doesn't seem to say anything about that, unless it's hidden. Not surprised though, ever since 594 it's been a decline, more and more shows in the Pavillion, and then fewer shows altogether. 1639 didn't help any, same with the magazine ban, and Covid. I remember when I started going when I was 18 or 19, it was wonderful. Always something interesting to see, and if you knew what you were doing, something to buy without getting gouged. Maybe that's what I'll do, gather up all the guns I bought at the gunshow for a group picture.
