Only shot one USPSA match so far but really liked the DWX.

What do you shoot for the games?

Love that DWX!

Here's mine. Finally got around to putting together my own, slightly nicer version of my issued duty gun to use for steel challenge and anything else I might have the opportunity to get involved in. P320 full-size in an AXG Grip Module with a Holosun 507 Comp.

92… I’m normally not a fan of the 320 but your full-size with the AXG grip might make me reconsider. That is a well put together weapon/games gun. I may have to start piece meaning components to build something similar.

It's kinda like ARs...Legos for adults lol. I held off on the AXG grip for a long time because I just couldn't justify spending $400 for something I knew wasn't going to make me shoot any better. Finally found one for under $200 and jumped. I was right...it doesn't really do anything for my groups or my times compared to the $40 plastic module, but it feels SOOOO good in the hand. It's much more similar to my P226 now, so much so that I keep catching myself trying to decock it before re-holstering, lol.

The discounted module I got came with black plastic grips, but I recently scored the G10 ones in the pic used on ebay. For $50 they were a nice upgrade...better texture and a bit more weight. The gun feels more solid in the hand now. I guess sometimes it's ok to have stuff just because you like it.

I used this when I was on the Oregon State pistol team (1966 - 1968) where we shot postal matches with other universities. Never left Corvallis.

That is really nice...I like that a lot! I haven't bought one yet, but I'm really developing an appreciation for the slimline Glocks, and what you've done there looks like a really practical application of "go-fast" parts. That truly looks like a gun built for competition that you could also carry every day.

Care to share details of what parts you have there? How well does that backstrap piece adapt the grip angle for somebody who's not used to Glocks?

Certainly.
I actually never thought this 43X would evolve into what we have here to date.

When I got the stock 43X, the trigger absolutely bit my finger every shot, and the reach was too short for my larger hands. So an Apex trigger shoe solved the reach issue, and slightly rounding the bottom corners of that Apex shoe on the bottom where it flares out made it comfortable.

Next I wanted to try a red dot on it, but I like the dot to be as low as possible, so an EPS Carry (closed emitter) was mounted without a plate by grinding the 2 small lugs on top of the slide cut. Nice and low and co-witnessed with the irons.

After going to the range and working on El Pres type drills and fast transitions, I noticed I really needed to use my pinky to squeeze the grip down during presentation in order for the dot to be in the window.

After looking at the GlockStore backstraps I decided to try the 1/2 strap you see here, and it worked perfectly. That small increase in length of pull solved the problem. It added just a little trigger reach which I needed, and also offsets the Glock grip angle a little. The offset angle actually is perfect for me when I present the gun out the dot comes up perfectly. (More 1911 angle people say).

Then the Radian Ramjet came as a gift. It works well since I have holsters for the G48 with the longer slide. I does shoot flatter in my opinion.

I still had some issue from time to time during draws not presenting the dot properly with that thin short grip. I bought a Shield Arms Carry Magwell which is really low profile and fits on very solidly. It gives me the added grip I needed with the increased length, but also forces my hand higher under the triggerguard and my pinky rides the front of the magwell to give (me) the perfect grip.

I finished with stippling the frontstrap and backstrap with a 1" line on each.

All in all the little gun shoots very well for anyone who's tried it. I carry it in a Tenicor AIWB holster with stock 10rd Glock mags.

Thanks for the details. It seems like you've put some some good thought and effort into that setup. I keep wanting a 43x, but so far have managed to convince myself that it would just be a distraction from the other guns I'm working with right now. But the tinkerer in me is looking at yours and screaming that something like that would be a really fun and practical build!
