I gotta say, for the quality, the movement, the little extras you get, and the price, HELMS are hard to beat!

I love mine!

Orient fans?
For [expected] sub-$400, that orange is tempting.

The Orients have always turned my head, but I never pulled the trigger.

I did put my name on the list for a Helm titanium Komodo with yellow dial though.

Page late and a dollar short

I’m a little uneasy at present. Third watch from the right was sent back to the Horoligist that one of the local jewelers uses. Long story short, half of the building caught fire (not his half) but tenants cannot reenter the building yet. The jeweler has been told that everything is secured in the safe.

I’m hoping so as while that Bulova isn’t a high dollar watch, it’s just a 1951 Director but it has sentimental value to me. So now I wait.

$10k, but it's a nice blend of style like a Grand Seiko & Glashutte had a baby

https://www.gearpatrol.com/wat...credor-kuon-gclx995/

Article mentions a hybrid quartz-mechanical movement, but doesn't clarify anything about it

A quick search on the 7R31 says:
The 7R31 is essentially the Credor-exclusive counterpart to the Grand Seiko 9R31 movement, sharing identical technical specifications but distinguished by superior cosmetic finishing, such as a rippled wave pattern on the barrel designed to resemble flowing water.

It is a hybrid mechanical-quartz engine featuring a Tri-synchro Regulator system that replaces the traditional escapement and balance wheel with a glide wheel and electromagnetic brake, resulting in a smoothly gliding seconds hand.

I’m having trouble deciding if I should get another Omega or a new SUV.

I would save $50 with the BMW!

Well, the new X3 is pretty ugly, IMO. So I'd say the Omega, but then I don't care for the all gold on the Omega either. Maybe in one of the other colorways.

Today's choice is a new member of the herd: Sinn Model U2 EZM5 with an Erika's Original strap.

I ran into a Sinn U1 SDR at a LGS last week. Don't see that in the wild too often.

The new Komodo Titanium arrived. Feels very small and light compared to the Ball diver I've been wearing, but I think it'll sail right into summer and be very appropriate. This is the first bright yellow faced watch I've owned.
