Oh, yeah - I can think of other uses for 39k.

It's nifty, though, I'll give it that much!

Oh, by the way, which one's "Pink?"

Been looking hard at a new Fortis B42 Marinemaster, a Tudor Pelegos, and a Tudor Black Bay. Where'd I plant that blasted money tree?

Was recently thinking of selling or trading and I think I'm changing my mind

Forgive me if these are reposts. Since I've sold my Sinn, Omega Speedy Moon, Tag Aquaracer, Tag Formula 1, another Tag Formula 1 I can't remember, and Fortis Spacematic, I haven't really replaced them. I did get the Mrs. a nice Tag Aquaracer while in Nassau. Time for something for me I think.

That's cool, Husky - it's fun to see watches that you don't find everyday! I like the color scheme, very true to what a racing watch should be.

Thanks. The watch came with two multi-colored Nato straps. There were about a dozen color choices. I chose Gulf racing blue and orange and then the German flag stripes as my second.

Yowza! The "Bao Dai" Rolex just sold for north of $5 million bucks!

I mean, what do you even do with a watch like that? Store it in a super security vault and go in every once in a while to gaze upon it?

The first thing I'd do is set the date; it's 17 days fast. :-D

Friday I was rooting around the garage for something and I found a dusty Pelican case I tossed under the workbench when I moved here. I found a few notebooks, a few AR magazines, and a Casio G-Shock. It was the watch my buddy let me borrow when my Timex died. He left before I did so I never gave it back. The dam thing was still working, and he gave it to me in 2012! At first I thought it was off as the date was a day ahead but it was still set to AFG time. I reset it to Cali time (where he is now) to see if it would die and am going to send it back to him this week.

It ain't an Omega, but it did it's job! And the battery still works...how long do they last? It wasn't new when he gave it to me.

10X, I love that Carrera, nice & simple. Looks to be a pretty thin case too.
A Tag is eventually in my future.

Alas, my bid was too low.

The increase over the last time it sold is stupendous. It went for $235K in 2002.

I don't know who bought it, but I imagine it won't get worn very much. It is pretty much only a collectible now. Too bad, in a way. It would be a good watch to wear. A good size - nice legible dial, useful complications. And good-looking.
