Sometimes I need to take a day off from work, turn off the phone and fish. 5-8-26, Cayuga Lake, cold rainy morning but the bite was good. I caught 9 that morning, this was the largest.

That's a nice catch and a bad fishing is better than a good day at work. You did well.

Most of my fishing is freshwater bass or inshore/offshore off Florida, so I'm curious, what type of bait does one use for that sort of fishing?

Hi Mike,

We jig for them! 1 oz. jig head and a money minnow swim bait (although we use other swim bait colors - white, chartreuse, etc. depending on what they're biting). Anywhere from 30 to 12 feet of water. Deeper in summer as they are a cold water fish.
