I always tumble my brass after they’ve been fired once in my RCBS tumbler with corn cob media. I than wipe each case off with a paper towel. Is this necessary and is the media an issue on internals of pistol if there’s some still on the cases?

I don't bother to do that. They seem to come out pretty clean.

So no issues with feeding reliable or internal wear?

I use walnut rather than corn cob and have never had issues with the dust. I like it as it acts as a lube in the sizing dies.

Not with corn, walnut can be dusty and I quit using it years ago. I add a bit of liquid car polish for a bright shine.

If you are that particular, you should switch to wet tumbling with stainless steel media. It takes a bit more effort, but the result is fantastic.

Wiping that dust residue off is not necessary at all.

Thanks for the insight fellas. Appreciate it! I’m sweating over nothing. It’s actually walnut media too. My bad.
