My Olllld waterproof fanny pack was deteriorated beyond use, hence my initial post. Ended up just sticking the J frame and Speed Strip in my Dry Bag and strapping it on the back of the day rental 'yak. Wonderful day. Shoulders were sore for 72 hours. ____________________

I wouldn't. If I need it and don't have it. Its god's will lol. If wew were camping and there were bears I would bring my glock 20 and wear it when out of the water

Maybe something like the Safepacker from Wilderness Tactical. It doesn’t look like a holster, just another piece of gear. It can be looped into the straps of your PFF, pack or whatever else you may have with you. My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

Never miss an opportunity to be Batman! |
When kayaking, I carry a small pistol, Kimber 6s in one ziploc bag with with a couple reloads in another ziploc bag in a fanny pack. Worse case scenario, I can shoot revolver while in ziploc bag. I love the Hill People Chest Rig but don't like it on top or underneath chest flotation. For me, getting a great fitting chest flotation is must when kayaking. If not, most of your time kayaking will be fighting with the chest flotation.
