I've always liked the scene in Silverado when Mal says, "Mister, you ever seen what a Henry rifle can do in the hands of somebody who knows how to use it?" I'm not a big fan of the hyper-stylized spy/assassin John Wick/Jason Bourne/James Bond type of gunfights. They always seem too clean and choreographed, with 20 guys instantly downed by one or two shots. Taylor Sheridan-scripted films such as Sicario and Wind River seem much more gritty, chaotic, and believable to me. That's why I think scenes such as Elizabeth Olsen having to houseclear while partially blinded and then unloading an entire mag into a bad guy is 20 times more intense than anything in John Wick. | |||

Way too many for me to list them all. A few high points for me... The John Wick home invasion gun/judo fight is definitely one of my favorites. The "gun kata" scenes from Equilibrium. Overly stylized, but I still found them entertaining. Not a gun fight, but I always loved the "We need guns" scene from The Matrix. I thought Way of the Gun had some good gunfight scenes.
