Take your pick... Coltrane at 4:30 and Cannonball at 6:23
But Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, Coleman Hawkins, Stan Getz, Art Pepper... there's a ton of great jazz saxophonists.
There ain't much difference in the man I want to be and the man that I really am.

I guess it depends upon the saxophone. For Alto, it's Paul Desmond. For Tenor..this is hard, but I'll slightly lean Sonny Stitt over Art Pepper. Baritone is hands-down Gerry Mulligan. Don't care for the sound of a soprano, so no favorite.

John Coltrane. Blue Train is still one of the best albums I’ve ever heard in the history of music.

lots of great Jazz guys, that I can never remember names beyond what is mentioned already
But mentioned above, I'd go with Chris Wood. I've listened to a lot more of his sax playing.
