Very disappointing.
Hadn’t checked the Trailer and Imdb gave it over 6/10 so we gave it a shot. Big mistake.
We like Jason Bateman, sad he needed the money so badly.

When we realised it was about a TSA employee, all my hopes went overboard since this is not a comedy.
Originality didn’t make it to the script, i’m afraid. Too many dejà vus.

I’d say avoid it if you can.

Too late. Wink

I wasn't quite as disappointed as you were. I think a 6/10 is fair. Not good enough to watch again, but not a waste of two hours.

Agreed. I watched it last Saturday and later described it as mindless entertainment. Nothing profound but I was entertained, and I hear there may be a sequel, for which I'll be interested.

I was pretty entertained. Not an academy award winner but it was interesting to see Bateman in a non-comedic role.

It's a Christmas movie. Big Grin

Not great, lots of flaws, but far from the worst for my wife and I.

Such a tired movie, utterly forgettable.

Watched it last night. 6/10 seems a fair rating. OK, but not good. Just OK. As already pointed on, no originality in the plot.

My friends came over and told us how good this movie was. It pissed me off the entire time.

3/10, do not recommend.

Woke bullshit.

I got up and left the room after maybe 40 minutes - I couldn’t take it. I thought it was brutal.

Counterpoint.
Not sure what the problem is that warrants so much hate?
I guess it is fashionable or something to hate movies. Confused
I didn't think it was so bad ~ a little of Die Hard flavor albeit not a new script.
The only "woke" part was inserting the gay couple part of a hostage that didn't need to be there but it wasn't much.
Don't regret watching it, but it was a little predictable as all these movie types are ~ eve Die Hard was predictable.
So "Carry-On".

I probably sighed at this part, but before you just reminded me, I completely forgot this plot point.

"Woke bullshit." Some people wake up in the morning determined to find something to piss them off.

I respectfully disagree with this.

***SPOILER ALERT***SPOILER ALERT***SPOILER ALERT***

The plot called for a character that could physically hold their own against the protagonist and another character who could physically operate a .50cal sniper rifle. Seems easier to fit into the plot with two gay men.

Despite the poor reviews here, I watched it last night.

Like smschulz, I'm not as discerning as most and found it entertaining if I didn't think too much.

I will say, Bateman killed his role. He was the standout!

What a steaming pile of trash.

*spoiler*

Gay guy tied in the back of a van pops up and fires a 50 cal rifle from the back of said van to be the hero.

The whole movie sucks.

Despite the woke stuff, of which there was a little, I really enjoyed it. Definitely set up as a Die Hard-type movie series.

The part I really found cheesy was when the badge was thrown in the little bin. In almost 31 years of LE I never flew for vacation with my badge.

Yeah, but considering the recurring plot point was that he never got to be an officer, I see how that would be the final "yay!".
