I stopped watching season 1 when the wife wouldn't let her sf husband have a gun despite all the dangerous shit happening all around them. Didn't have time to out up with that.

I vaguely recall that... maybe.

We stopped watching it about the time... the kids ran away to find something in a cave...? or something like that? The whole thing by then had become one unlikely plot line after another.

I can forgive a lot. Heck: We made it through Red Notice Smile. But LIS just got too st00pid for me to tolerate any longer.

Even my wife's tolerance had stretched thin--to the point she didn't really much object when I said "I can't watch any more of this!"

Isn't that the one where the kid killed his Robot best-friend "old Yellar" style?

I watched the first season just to see it though, although I thought it was entirely too predictable and formulaic. Also, the plot got silly at times - "How many times are you morons going to fall for Dr. Smith's tricks?"

I do like the lead actress, who was the lady who moved west in "Deadwood," Molly Parker. She can't carry the show, though.

I don't think I will watch the 3d series.

Saw the first episode of season 3 last night. Pretty dull. Towards the end all I could think of was watching Parker Posey and Molly Parker in a cage match.

Did it get a lot dumber? I'm only half way through episode 1 (S3) and I'm losing interest.
Good thing they thought to take all that advanced mountain climbing gear into space with them. Wink

Liked Season 1, though definitely plenty of downs with ups, liked Season 2 less, but still worth watching. Season 3, could not get through the first episode...

I have continued watching (Well… Kind of half watching, half paying attention) And I won’t say it got a lot better, but it got better than episode one.

So far it seems like Seasons 1 and 2, just a lot more "energy", which I wouldn't say is a good thing.

"We only have 38 seconds before the thing causes the widget to do a thing and kill us all!"

"THINK OUR WAY OUT OF IT!"

"Great job. Now let me act like a strong empowered mom and be real shitty to the male in my life."

I’m disappointed in this show, and just about every other show and movie where the writers use unbelievable super fantastical amazing acts of lucky timing, and saved at the last second coincidence to get out of the plot corners they’ve written them self into. God I hate that.

We are watching it with the kids. It's awful. The amount of time wasted while in perilous situations is beyond my ability to engage my suspension of disbelief.

I didn’t know there was a series. Between the first episode and comments here, I’ve now removed the series from my watch list.

Sometimes it takes a series a few episodes to find its footing. There've been a couple times where we abandoned something after one or two episodes, kept reading and hearing great things about it, gave it another try--stuck it out, and ended-up loving it.

LIS was one where the first episode really did turn out to be as good as it would get.

yall are hard core,

I find it to be woke-ish, but overall just as silly and formulatic as the original series,

which was by no means the best sci fi then either

Smile

To be honest, pre-Obummer days, I may have been a little irked but could have accepted some woke-ism changes from the original story (not specific to LIS, in general).

These days, I have almost zero tolerance for it. Extraneous LBGxyz, SJW aspects and I'm done.

I saw a snippet from season 3 of them Rock Climbing in some precarious way.

(groan)

I had higher hopes for this series.

Not as big of a stretch as catching updrafts using duck tape and mylar sheets to fly to the other wall. Hideous show. I hope to god they don't do another season, lest I risk being dumb enough to watch again. Big Grin
