Just one of my favorite movies.....EVER!! "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Help! Help! I'm being repressed! |
I only ever watched one episode of Justified. I'm glad they used the Darrell Scott version. I prefer his version since he's the songwriter.

Queen's Under Pressure in Grosse Point Blank. That scene when he's looking to the baby's eyes with that song gets me every time. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

In The Air Tonight reminds me of Miami Vice and / or Risky Business depending on the mood I'm in. The Risky Business clip is NSFW, so here's the Miami Vice version.... Link to original video: https://youtu.be/-aMCzRj3Syg .

I know we have posted this a dozen times in th4e last 2 years. It, however, is one of my favorites movie musical scores. It is probably the one that brings me back the most. Followed by this one

Most of these are not 'songs that remind you of a movie', but 'Movie Scores that remind you of a movie'.

Linda Ronstadt, "Blue Bayou." Always reminds me of "Man On Fire." "Adagio For Strings"- "Platoon." "Come and Get Your Love", "Fooled Around and Fell In Love"- "Guardians of the Galaxy." I also vote for Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" and the film "Platoon". It's not a "song" but it is a musical work by a well-known composer, not just a score written just for a movie. FWIW, IMO it was a perfect match. https://video.search.yahoo.com...d0c6edb&action=click Another that comes to mind is Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas" and the movie "Holiday Inn". "I'm Back In the Saddle Again" and ALL the Gene Autry movies. "Happy Trails" and the Roy Rogers movies. "Alleluia" from "Exsultate jubilate" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, sung by Deanna Dubrin in the movie "One Hundred Men and a Girl". She was absolutely stunning! https://video.search.yahoo.com...d55773d&action=click (song starts at 5:09) flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

I know right? Obviously the theme song written for the movie is going to remind you of that movie.
