I heard him on the Opie and Jim Norton show some years back. He was asked about some movies he made that were not good. He came right out and said that he was fine with a crappy role for the paycheck. I liked the honesty.

Dang. I enjoyed his roles.

I think my favorite was the psycho in Reservoir Dogs. The ear scene with the Bob Dylan soundtrack is a legendary film moment.

As parabellum said, not a shocker to hear of his death. He did not look good at all for the past several years. I did enjoy several of his films.
