Thanks for sharing. I very much enjoy his videos as an expert on JRR Tolkien.

Waistcoat, check.
Pipe, check,
Corduroy, check.
Guite is the modern day Gandolf a guiding figure who's able to interpret the tales & their lessons of the past. A far cry from the shrill and pointed figures in today's social commentary.

Thanks for posting this. I stumbled upon this guy only a few months ago going down a tobacco pipe smoking rabbit hole, watched a few of his videos pertaining to Tolkien and Arthurian legend, and ended up subscribing to his YouTube channel. I had already kind of drifted away from his channel and this video is drawing me back in.

He would have fit in perfectly with Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and their cronies as they sat in the local pub discussing literature, religion, and any many other interesting topics over a few pints and bowls of tobacco.

I suppose forums such as this are a type of modern-day replacement for those types of gatherings. I think there are many of us that are thirsting for this type of highbrow, in depth conversation, if not to contribute necessarily, but to listen and soak up as much as you can.
