Yeah, I know I am late to this particular party. Frankly, I got tired of trying to keep up with the MCU and now I just binge watch a particular superhero when the mood hits. The latest...Spider-Man. I want to say up front that I can suspend disbelief. I believed a man could fly. I believed the truth was out there. I believed in space no one could hear you scream. Okay, I KNEW that last one due to science class, but you get my drift. Which is why I have such a huge problem with NWH. So Doctor Strange casts a world-wide spell that makes everyone forget Peter Parker. Yet the physical evidence of the events prior to the spell remain, as shown by the Band Aid on MJ's noggin. So what happened to the "Shaping Heroes" case at PP's high school? What about the digital footprint of the Daily Bugle/Ned/Flash? Flash's book? The ton of paperwork generated by the mere birth of PP, death of his parents, etc etc etc. I noticed PP has a GED study guide in his new apartment. His school records disappeared??? Really, the only thing I liked about this movie is he ends up with the classic suit. I loathed the whole "Iron Spider" thing. _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

You have put more thought into it than did the writers

| I swear I had something for this |
Haven't seen it yet, but I'll give it some credit. The weekend box office is nearly $1 billion worldwide on its first weekend. Those are insane numbers full stop.

The new movie is Brand New Day. No Way Home came out a few years ago and ties in some of the actors, villains, and storylines from past non-MCU movies. Not a great movie, but it was fun to see Willem Dafoe in this role again. The post-credits bit made me chuckle.

They sure are squeezing this franchise dry. They have almost caught up to Batman. I haven't watched a Spiderman movie since the first two with Tobey Maguire. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. For real?![]() |
they're saying it earned over $900 million worldwide for first weekend. i believe it. my daughter's boyfriend bought tickets a week early for thursday night and they said it was packed, they picked up a friend who was unable to get tickets. on saturday, my son wanted to see it, so at 11am, two different movie theaters were already sold out for the day. i tried to find a showing at a mall, i scored tickets for the 11:10pm showing. It was showing on 9 screens there. I basically had to buy tickets 12 hours early. Not minority enough!

I personally thought it was awesome. Tom Holland is my favorite spiderman. He loves the character and studied acrobatics and dance in high school. He was only 18 when he playded spiderman in Civil War. John Beranthal is also a great punisher!!!

I haven't seen it. Can't talk the wife into going. She says wait until it comes out in video and we can watch it right here at home. Tough to argue with that logic. But, it has grossed $2.02 billion as of today! Looks like Spider Man rules the MCU now. And Aunt May a close second...
