Back in 1975 she was the Empress of the Mardi Gras parade Argus in Metairie. I caught the parade near the end of the route. As her float passed I waved to her. She looked down at me from the float and blew me a kiss. I'm sure my knees buckled. I even turned around after she did that to see if she meant that for someone else, but there was no one around me. That made my day.
