I am much more a PlayStation user and not a real online / multiplayer kind of guy. My daughter, however, wants to play Fortnite with her.....little boyfriend....sigh....yep here we are but I digress. Anyhoo... Can I create a sub account for her under my XBox account? Is live Gold all that’s necessary for online/multiplayer gaming? I am sure I can run all this down but, honestly, the Xbox UI kinda infuriates me with all its clutter, so I figured I’d ask. Thanks much all, Chris "Guns are tools. Not a smart xbox user by any stretch of the imagination but i've never heard of sub-accounts. On the other hand, Gold is on its way out AFAIK and Ultimate replaces it. Been a Gold user for many years and only switched a few months ago. If you switch from Gold to Ultimate there was a special offer worth looking into. To play online you better have a paying account 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

You can create as many users as you want and then you will want to "Share" your Gold membership with them. You can also set up a Family and share Gold with the family. If you need more help, let me know and I will find the place in the settings menu where you can get this all set up.

Thanks all. It was a pain in the ass but I think I got it. Also it does appear to be sharing the game pass/live so should be good to go. I appreciate it. Chris "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

If you are sharing the same console you share everything. If you go to separate consoles it gets trickier to share gamepass but not too bad Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day
