Likely the top of my list is Jackson Browne. The guy is a musical genius, but he just can't seem to separate the two. He played locally a couple of years ago and the concert was going so well until he started spouting off on leftist topics. The crowd was having nothing to do with it and booed him, yelling, "Just play your fucking music!", and such. One of my favorites. Reminds me, fondly, of a young lady I once knew. Springsteen is another. The River is one of my favorite albums, but him and his politics? No thank you. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. ^^^ Uncle Ted. (Nugent) I like Stills', Ry Cooder, and most others music and listen to it. Never paid for their politics, so I don't listen to that. This message has been edited. Willie Nelson - Have loved his music since I was a teen. have over 40 of his studio recordings on vinyl. Green Day - Still haven't bought an album because of Billie's politics. Paramore - Haven't heard too much of their stuff though. Texting.......easier than calling.

true, Costello, my favorite artist, used to wax political at every live show he has stopped that for hte most part XTC, Melt the Guns is a good tune as far as tunes go, but the lyrics are a bit, off, if you are a gun guy The The is a bit left, but overall I like thier sound, I listen for enjoyment, not paying too much attention to the politics, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I agree on Springsteen, his music from "Tunnel of Love" and earlier.

Too many to list. But, only one that really got under my skin: Madeleine Peyroux. She's a jazz singer, not very well known. I used to really like her stuff and went to see her when she performed in the Chicago area right after Trump got elected the first time. She walks out on stage and starts whining the usual leftist bulls**t about Trump before she even started singing. I should have got up and walked out, but was with the wife and she really liked her and was willing to overlook her rant. So, I stayed even though she made some add'l comments between songs. I haven't played her once since then. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

My apologies, I misread your post and did not pick up "my favorites" and that changes what I thought you stated. He is not a favorite of mine, only that he's as "obnoxious", only stage left. "the meaning of life, is to give life meaning" ✡ Ani Yehudi אני יהודי Le'olam lo shuv לעולם לא עוד

If they’re not vocal about it, I don’t care about their politics if I read some quote from a magazine article. TH posted Jason Isbell. I’ve seen him live, and he didn’t say a political word, but I know that elsewhere he talks too much. Since she’s been out of the spotlight for quite awhile, I had forgotten about Linda Ronstadt. I was among the legion that had a serious crush on her, but yeah, dating that idiot California governor (I can picture him, but his name escapes me), she talked way too much about her views. I’ll add Steve Earle. I’ve loved his music from the beginning, and have seen him live several times. One time in Grand Junction, Colorado he was particularly obnoxious. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Same, if they are privately MAGA or socialist, but work wise keep it about the music, no problem. When it comes to musicians who present their politics publicly upfront, woven through their work, there is really only one I was a big fan of, and that was The Clash. Most of the others like Springsteen, U2, Green Day, etc- I never liked their music to begin with. And others, it seems when they cross the threshold of political shit, it comes after their prime years, Neil Young is an example. And Thank God for those who are completely apolitical in their careers- Led Zeppelin and AC/DC come to mind, two bands who have alienated no one, and have kept their legends and reputations intact "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

I’m a big Dave Matthew’s Band fan. There is a ton of talent on stage and the live shows are fun. That said, Dave is sharing his political opinions a bit more these days. Wish he wouldn’t… We will never know world peace, until three people can simultaneously look each other straight in the eye Liberals are like pussycats and Twitter is Trump's laser pointer to keep them busy while he takes care of business - Rey HRH.

Rage Against the Machine. Great workout music, but politics suck big time. Not just lipping off about it, but setting up charities for them, like freeing a cop killer. Therefore, I have NEVER purchased one of their titles new. Just bided my time until I found them 2nd hand at yard sales, etc. That way they wouldn't get the royalties. Tony
