Are your kids into Pokemon? My son is, and I take him weekly to play. So.. I've built a few decks, and have a small collection now. Also, am a Professor now.

If I'd started collecting when this or Magic came out? My lord some of those cards are worth incredible amounts.

Haven't done the Pokemon thing with my nephew, but found a few transforming Digimon from back in the day.

Nostalgia goes a long way for making irrational decisions.

I have a few of old Transformers from the early '80s and it is crazy what they go for now.

I played Magic back in 1994 when 3rd Edition released. Even at that point, cards like the Black Lotus were incredibly valuable. I wish I'd kept one of the many booster boxes I'd purchased from way back then. They're worth tens of thousands.

My oldest is into is as far as having a binder full of cards, but she's never ventured into playing the [card] game.

I did the MTG thing in Jr High, but never got really into it.
