Those who have Apple tv probably already know that both movies are offered free right now. If my wife has seen them at all, it’s been a very long time. We watched both together the last few nights and it was enjoyable for me (and I believe her) to sit together and watch these two classics of American movie making. For myself, watching it yet again, I was able to concentrate more on subtleties, especially facial expressions. There were so many great performances, but Pacino’s stood out to me. More than Brando he was The Godfather.

It’s not necessary for me to write more about two of the best movies ever made. It was just nice to enjoy them again with my wife by my side, helping her connect the characters through the years and generations.

It's always fun to watch them back to back. There was a re-cut that put everything in chronological order but I haven't seen it.

Also recommend you check out the series "The Offer". Based on the autobiography of producer Alan Ruddy, it is about the making of Godfather 1 and how hard it was to get it made. We found it enjoyable and gave even more depth to the movie.
