Just finished I through V and the remake. ------- Trying to simplify my life...

I voted for 3, it's just a guilty pleasure for me. As many things in that move make me cringe, the "Wildey" gag just makes me smile. I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

I went with 2. He knew what to do, and was no longer hesitant to take action. I thought the later versions got cheesier as they went along. I was very disappointed with the remake. I voted "Remake," but I've only seen that and the original. Since I'm not a fan of Charles Bronson and am a fan of Bruce Willis... *shrug* "America is at that awkward stage. Didn't vote yet, but I'll mention that my wife and I just watched the remake with Bruce Willis and I loved it. My wife liked it too. It seems that critics mostly hated it while most regular people enjoyed it. I'm not surprised at that. Can't vote because it's been way too long since I saw the originals, but the remake was cringe-worthy bad to me. I love Bruce Willis and I love the premise, but I thought it was a complete failure.

II has always been my favorite followed closely by the first one. "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Wife and I recently watched “The Brave One” with Jodie Foster. After the first 5 minutes, I told her that this was a remake; “Death Wish” for the NPR crowd. --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! One was enough for me. Not a movie that could be made today. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

Death Wish 1 is the best. I love the whole dark bleak gritty grimy serious '70s vibe of that film. That said, I do have a massive appreciation for Death Wish 3. Thumbs up to the '80s era Golan-Globus/Cannon Group for taking that serious troubled character from the '74 version and catapulting him to insane over-the-top sheer '80s levels of ridiculousness. "Don't worry. My friend Wildey is coming." HA! Last year I went to see that Jennifer Garner revenge film Peppermint. Halfway through, I whispered to my buddy, "You know what this film needs? More Golan-Globus!" Modern action films are so restrained these days!
