IIRC, wasn't Doc Holliday born in Griffin? That would be more of a North Georgia accent needed. Though his accent was more of a caricature "Southern plantation owner" accent than anything in this movie. But he played it well. Great lines in that flick.

Everything south of Atlanta is South Georgia.
