Finished watching the documentary on Dale Earnhart last night. Was quite interesting I thought. Lot of information about him and the family that I did not know. Not exactly a "family man". Worth the watch though.

I watched part 1 last night and it brought back a lot of good memories from my youth.

I grew up watching dirt track races in Southern Ohio, where my family grew up and knew a lot of the drivers.

I was a Geoff Bodine fan when he raced for 5 start Levi Garrett.

Then as I got older I started rooting for Rick Mast when he was sponsored by Skoal and later Remington.

The company I worked for when I was in the trades Union inn Columbus, had a large continent of Nascar fans who hailed from Columbus, Circleville, Chillicothe, etc..
We used to go to at least three or four races a year.

By that time I was a Sterling Marlin fan, and a Coors Light guzzler.

I still have all of my Rick Mast, Buckshot Jones, etc.. hats and shirts.

I will watch part two tonight.
