Trailer finally dropped today.

I'll withhold judgement until the show actually comes out.
But I'm somewhat hopeful:

At least they waited until the f@*king series was finished being written to start the filming of the series.

Cautiously optimistic.

The trailer looks fantastic. Not much to judge how good the adaption will be, but at least it'll be pretty.

Who could have predicted it would take RR Martin over 10 years to finish a book?

I am looking forward to this and hope they can do the story some sort of justice. The story is massive in scope and spectacle. Hard to pull off on the screen but I will give it every chance to succeed.

Sure but they can cut out a looooooot of book, starting with whenever Rand busts out of that chest and ending with… well basically about the end.

Exactly. They (the two authors) could have cut out one whole book if they only mentioned once how Rand, Matt, and Perrin each think the others understand women better than they do.

Ran across the trailer again today. Really looking forward to this. Hopefully it turns into a nice long yet condensed series.
