Gerry Rafferty had another hit from that very album, "Right Down the Line", plus he also had hits in Stealers Wheel like "Stuck In The Middle With You" Not a One Hit Wonder.

Little known fact about the Standells and “Dirty Water.” The band was from L.A. and song writer, Larry Tamblyn (brother of actor, Russ Tamblyn) had never been to Boston when he wrote the song—no one in the band had.
No other single had the pop charts success of “Dirty Water,” but the Standells have been termed the first punk band and are said to have influenced the bands that became synonymous with punk that were soon to follow. “Sometimes Good Guys Don’t Wear White” off the Dirty Water album did get a fair amount of air play.
Stumbled across a couple more: The Amboy Dukes, “Journey to the Center of the Mind.”
The Electric Prunes (yes, really), “Too Much to Dream.” Neither somg really good enough to post.

I don't consider T-Rex to be a one-hit "wonder", they were a real honest-to-goodness influential rock band. Bang A Gong may have been their only big hit here in the U.S., but they were as big as the Beatles for about 3 years in the early 70s in the U.K., with a dozen hit songs there. T-Rex basically invented glam rock, in particular Marc Bolan. He died in a car crash in 1977, wasn't even 30 yo yet. One of my all-time favorite bands.
