The 1986 movie created from Willie Nelson’s thematic 1975 album of the same name about a preacher who goes wrong. I had never seen it before, but I was browsing around on the FreeVee channel (or app, whatever it is) and happened to see it there.

Pretty good cast, the town sheriff is played by R.G. Armstrong

The patriarch of the bad guy family is the great character actor, Royal Dano

Morgan Fairchild and Katherine Ross both have roles in the movie.

I thought it was good. Maybe, if you like Westerns, you will too.

ETA: Factoid that may blow your mind. In April of this year, Willie Nelson released his 72nd solo, studio album! He’s 89
