I don't know if Blackhawk Down is considered a great film but I don't want to see it again. May God bless our soldiers.

I consider it to be. The scene where Shugart and Gordon ask to be inserted gets me every time. They knew it was a one way ticket.

This is the first movie that comes to mind. I watched it back when it first came out and it stayed with me for weeks.

I recently got a 4K DVD player and my library has "Black Hawk Down" in it's high def section. I pass on it every time. I don't think I can watch it again.

One of the best movies ever made IMO. While I can understand your position on it, I rewatch it every Easter.

It's a good reminder.

You and me both. It's tough to watch, but we watch it every year at Easter.

Maltese Falcon.

I've simply seen it so many times that I can't do it again, and not for the last ten or more years have I watched it.

The same does not apply to Casablanca, and I hope I never tire of that one!!!

I couldn't' think of a single one. Then you posted this. This one is up there. Except for the song from the sound track with the cellos. So good....

Uggg, yeah, that was difficult.

This one might be counter to many, particularly film aficionados but, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I found really difficult. The constant yelling and drama was grinding, I watched it in a film appreciation class and I couldn't wait to get out of my seat and find a cocktail.

Lone Survivor and American Sniper.
I have not re-watched after seeing in the theatre.
Great movies but they make me too emotional.
Maybe some day. Frown

I now see what others are thinking and the POV of "can't watch that movie again."

TBH, I have yet to watch Lone Survivor simply because I don't know if I can "handle it" emotionally. I know what those men did and I know what happened to them.

My bro flew AH-64 Apaches in the Korangal Valley...I see the effect it had on him and I've watched Restrepo.

It's not about the movie being "great" from an entertainment perspective. It's about the movie being "great" at telling the brutally, honest, story. I've watched American Sniper a couple of times, just as a tribute and to honor Chris Kyle. It doesn't mean it's easy to watch...screen getting blurry just thinking about it.

WRT 8mm....I remember watching that YEARS ago and getting VERY creeped out. My thought was, "This movie just BARELY touches the tip of the iceberg of depravity and sickness that exists in our world."

The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. I saw both in the theater once when they first came out. The Joker character in the Dark Knight was so disturbing, and although I thought Heath Ledger did a great job acting, I just didn’t want to watch it again. Dark Knight Rises was just too depressing to watch again.
