Never heard of it, Started watching it on Outlaw TV channel. All star cast got me interested, but Wow ! The story lines and scripting lands it well short of the entertainment runway. Does anyone remember watching it way back when ? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Yellow_RoseThis message has been edited. Last edited by: bendable, Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. I had never even heard of it, and I was very much alive in 1983-84. I do note in the Wiki article that it barely made it a full season, so there's that. It doesn't sound like I missed anything.

I was in college then and the only shows I watched with any degree of regularity were Magnum P.I. and The A-Team (and I often had a hard time catching those, unlike Miami Vice in grad school which was a standing Friday night appointment). This series was a complete miss for me, never even making it onto the radar, but in looking at the IMDB listing just now, some of the supporting characters and many of the guest stars looked like a who's who of western B-movie and TV character actors. The western was a practically dead genre at the time—Pale Rider and the little revival it helped bring didn't hit until 1985—so many of the old stars would take this, The Gambler movie series, and a few of the other series revivals (Gunsmoke, Maverick, WWW, etc.), whenever they could get it. *** "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam (I will either find a way or make one)." -- Hannibal Barca

Oh, I see. It caught your attention with the all-star cast, but the storyline and scripting fell short of expectations. It happens sometimes with shows. I haven't seen it myself, but thanks for sharing your thoughts!
