Get my pies outta the oven! |
With the impending end of Blue Bloods, my wife and I started talking about something to replace it and one possibility was The Rookie? Any others that would be a good cop show to replace Blue Bloods?

NOT The Rookie! Started as a fun show and went seriously woke. The wife and I ditched it a couple of years ago.

For some lighter fare, Justified. Or if you want some more serious fare, I highly recommend The Wire.

I am not sure if you have netflix or amazon but Dark Winds centering around Tribal Police. I enjoyed reading the books and also the show Longmire. Then if you want to go old school such as RogueJSK suggested with the Wire, there is NYPD Blue, Hills Street Blues and Homicide: Life on the Street (Which I am going to start watching again). Another one is the District with Craig T Nelson. Washington, D.C., Police Chief Jack Mannion, runs a modern-day "Untouchables" team to patrol the most crime-ridden, drug-infested streets in his city. I wasn't sure on this one especially since I was a big fan of his on coach. I enjoy it. I was a big fan of Law Order when it first came out staring Paul Sorvino, Chris Noth, George Dzundza and Michael Moriaty. For a really light fare, my all time show when I am down and out is Barney Miller. Especiall the episodes with Abe Vigoda and Jack Soo.

Cannot go wrong with Homicide, Life on the Streets. (Peacock). Not long ago I did NYPD Blue (Hulu) on the treadmill. Fantastic from start to finish. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

I'm a big fan of Bosch on Prime. 7 seasons of it, and a follow-up series as well. Haven't read the books yet, but they're on the list. _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.
