I'm binge watching it for lack of nothing else to watch. It reminds me of the short series last year about the taxi driver who was charged with killing a ride that he had sex with. With this show, I get the premise that she went through something and I suppose the story is about finding out what happened to her. There are a lot of things that don't make sense to me. The detective is on her side and, supposedly, his fetish is prodding him to help her? I do have respect for Biel from her sex scene in the movie. You can tell she's not well-endowed and I respect her for not getting enhanced and also for going through that scene knowing people will see what is obvious. I do appreciate the quicker resolution of things like the school bus. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I'm glad it does seem like things are going to tie up unlike last years summer series about the taxi driver who may or may not have killed the girl. I also see that Jessica Biel is the Executive Producer along with the creator. I hope her career gets a big boost from this series. I've become a fan of her from watching this series. Good wrap up. What threw me off was the guy who killed the sister looked very much like the husband. I also think they left a good portion of the story regarding the woman cop on the cutting floor which would have given more explanation for me as to her role. Now in Florida |
Digging this one up because I just discovered it on Netflix. I thought it was outstanding with Bill Pullman as a standout for an amazing performance. Now watching Season 2, which seems to be just as good. | |||
