With the cable out from Hurricane Helena, we decided to watch NewsRadio on the DVD player, as I had the box set but never watched it since the original run in the '90s. Such a fun show, though the last season wasn't as great due to the death of legend Phil Hartman.

Since then, we've been searching out old TV shows. WKRP In Cincinnati, Newhart, The Bob Newhart Show, All In The Family. Much of the content wouldn't (I didn't say couldn't) be made today, particularly All In The Family.

Yeah, I'm getting nostalgic in my old age.

The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie are better today than I remembered them as a kid. At least the first three or four seasons anyway.

My prayers are ongoing for you all with cold weather coming in…there are YouTube videos like this in these NC that will make a difference for those impacted by this tragedy…check out the Amazon links in their description for what is still needed…

I had never heard of CPO Sharkey before I watched a rerun of Johnny Carson. Off I went and found the seasons on Pluto or Amazon.

I am a big fan of
Adam 12
Emergency
Have Gun will Travel
Wild West
Magnum PI

I am trying to get into the Rockford Files.

Along the lines of News Radio:

Just Shoot Me
Coach
Still Standing

I remember watching combat, Hogan Heroes, Rat Patrol and Blacksheep squadron with my dad.

I will stop what I am doing to watch an episode of Hunter.

Can’t disagree with any of the above

For a good chuckle watch Laugh In going back to season 1. It was a hoot watching the character development as they became a team of comedians.

Always enjoyed “Taxi”. Some good humor there.

As an aside, Marylou Henner (I think that is spelled correctly) has a rare ability to remember EVERY day of her life. Give her a date and she can remember much(?) of that day.

I’m lucky to remember last week.

Things for us in the urban areas were back to near-normal after a few weeks, but yes, the people up in the NC and TN mountains are still in a world of hurt.

My wife loves The Dick Van Dyke Show and I am a big fan of Star Trek TOS; both shows were well before our time but we still love them. IMO I'd rather watch the shoestring budget Star Trek: TOS with its great and original storylines than the (multi-million dollar CGI budget and costumes alone) woke trash that is Star Trek: Discovery

Not as far back as some of these, but Hill Street Blues changed police TV & TV in general, IMO.

Solid lists. I'll add:

The Outer Limits
Night Gallery
The Night Stalker
X Files (doesn't seem old, but guess it is)

From just being a kid:
The Electric Company
Star Trek animated

Just about any toons from Jonny Quest to Superfriends. You know, the ones you'd eat about three bowls of sugar cereal while watching on Saturday morning.
