What a strange movie.

I can see the artistry in the cinematography, being shot in black and white and the use of lighting techniques, and the deep dive into insanity, but it took some awkward turns.

I think Willem DeFoe did a great job at his part, but Pattinson struggled to find a consistent accent for the character of his time. During his speaking parts I felt he just delivered the same character as he does in other movies at times.

The ending was just like... HUH?

I feel like it could have been a better movie but fell short at the end.
