My qualifier is that the band's faith be evident in the lyrics in the overwhelming majority of the songs on a given album. I don't care if the members profess belief in Christ if it's not evident in the music. Of the contemporary examples mentioned by 92 and drab, I have investigated many already. Bands like Fit for a King, Oh Sleeper, and Wolves at the Gate don't exhibit their faith in the overwhelming majority of their lyrics. Oh, Sleeper used to be more bold. Even my favorite Phinehas has become lukewarm; anything after their second album has lost the faith edge. Since drab has entered the chat, I'll plug Type O Negative. Peter's conversion is evident in his lyrics in some songs on Dead Again: songs like The Profit of Doom, These Three Things, and An Ode to Locksmiths. I'd argue that a formerly very secular band like Type O has more evident Christian themes on that album than many of the bands listed in this conversation. However, considering their former secular (and morally deviant) alignment, an entrance to their discography by a less-than-confident Christian should likely be discouraged, even if it is through Dead Again. Stumbling blocks and such. It's worth mentioning that my observations are within the scope of my musical taste. I know there are many bands listed in this conversation that do have faithful lyrics. I have listened to many of them and found the musical style to be not what I am seeking.

Yes it is said Peter had returned to the Catholic church before his death as it is more apparent in the lyrics on Dead Again as to all the previous albums which were all pretty much sacrilegious. Honestly I’m fairly new to the Christian metal scene, or as Black said, I don’t get wrapped up in the sub genres blah, blah, blah. I’ve sent the better part of 50 years listening to the secular side I’d rather spend the next 50 on this side of secular music.

People find it acceptable when artists use autotune. So the "singer" inputs their voice that may be somewhere in the ballpark of the right note and the autotune programming outputs the perfect pitch. In the case of AI music, the programmer inputs their prompt and the AI programming outputs the perfect music. Same difference. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
