I enjoyed the Murderbot series, including the TV show. Afterwards, read Rendezvous with Rama which was also good. Recommendations based on both of these included the “hutch” series by Jack Mcdevitt. My first book - so far so good. Engaging storyline and nice writing style. (But only a few chapters in). Anybody else read the series? Good? Any other recommendations for after? read a few McDevitt books years ago, not sure if they were the Hutch Series or not, not sure I still have them, did a clean out of my library when we had hardwood floors installed, and gave away a pile of books, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I just grabbed The engines of god. it does look interesting. I do wish they would put them in the kindle unlimited, I think more people would give it a try. This business will get out of control. Just wanted to say that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rendezvous_with_Rama was one of my favorite sci-fi books of all time. It would be a great movie done right. Perhaps library has a kindle version? I’m borrowing hardbacks from the library but I know they have ebooks and kindle for many titles. Never tried it though. Check out the Infinita trilogy from Christopher Hopper. He is a very talented storyteller. "You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground." - Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer")
