Very nice, I liked the segment with Julia Child.

I got to meet him and Julia Child in 1997 while in culinary school, at a food & wine festival we were helping at.

He and Julia were very nice and approachable, just real people you could have a conversation with. His daughter Claudine was there too but came off as very snooty.

While Julia Child was the driver, Pepin was the mechanic in their popular show.

Pepin is arguably the most influential person when it comes to cooking technique and methodology in the US home market. 'American's aren't missing taste, they just don't know the technique.' His seminal book Complete Techniques, and it's updates, is a must have for any beginner-novice home cook.
