To be clear, Spoilers permitted in this thread. If you get behind on the second season and don’t want to see something, stay away until you catch up.

Just beginning Season 2.

Who else is watching? I have to keep reminding myself that they are “one” person and when they go to their job/home, the other personality essentially dies. Same with retirement. The way they retired Ms. Casey was so well done. She knew, as she walked down that hallway, that her “life” was about to end.

Yet, she’s also Mark’s dead wife. Is she always in the Lumen building? Why was she “killed”? Mark didn’t even work at Lumen yet.

F me this show is a trip.

Watching and thoroughly addicted haha!

I have so many questions dating back to S1E1, and they seem to slowly answer same along the way. What a trip! And still lots of questions at this point.

Have you seen the recent ZipRecruiter ad on social media? It may be running elsewhere, but I saw it on FB and it’s a hoot - they’ve partnered with Apple TV and are running the ad as if they are recruiting for Lumen.

It's a slow burn, but I enjoy it as well.

When you think about it, most people desperately try to separate their work and private lives as it is. With good reason usually, but this show really takes it to the logical conclusions.

I happen to watch it after seeing "The Gorge", which is another discussion and it just started playing and we wondered if it was a movie or a show. By the time we figured it out, we were hooked.

Oh, I am going to have to check out “the Gorge”!
I’ve been watching “severance” from the start and just love it!

I’ve started picking my way back through certain episodes trying to find clues or hints; hard to wait til the next episode drops. And I had no idea Ben Stiller was behind it.

I used to think that Gemma was in a coma and then existed as the counselor as an innie. But dang what a mind trip. Now is she captive? a part of the end game experiment? She clearly wants out, wants to find the truth.

These next few episodes cant get here soon enough.

I haven't read the posts in this thread due to the spoiler alert..but, I for the life of me cannot get into this show.

I started season 1 during my workout when nothing else to watch. I hear everyone talking about how good it is.

I find it is one of those shows that owes me my time back because it is so lacking in everything.

Am I wrong?

Are you into sci-fi? The premise of this is so cool, and the fact that there are so many different directions it could go in makes it tantalizing to me. Today’s episode pissed me off, though. Not a fan of the Harmony actor.

I say this with zero sarcasm or negativity.

If this show doesn’t pull you in right away, it’s probably not worth sticking with. It’s one of those series that either hooks you from the start and keeps you curious enough to follow the journey, or it simply doesn’t.

There’s a lot happening — constant shifts between “innie” and “outie” — and even when I’m fully invested, I sometimes have to hit pause just to talk through what just happened with my wife.

With so many great shows out there, there’s no need to force yourself through one that doesn’t click. A few that come to mind:

• Ted Lasso
• 1923
• Breaking Bad
• Fargo
• True Detective

And you might’ve hit on a key note here for me. I am always telling my son that books are better than movies because they allow your imagination to really create the background - and maybe that’s what I like so much about this story - it gives me the opportunity to think about the possibilities of what might happen versus just laying it straight out?

Again…Spoilers.

All caught up through S2. I think 2 more episodes to go.

So how the fuck did Gemma end up with Lumin? It seems like they are experimenting with how many times they can sever her…6 so far? The creepy doctor is a different character in each room, torturing her in some capacity each time.

When Gemma is dressed in the grey outfit she knows who she is, she knows who mark is…she wanted to leave and is being held against her will.

I was thinking that the fertility clinic might’ve had something to do with her intro to Lumon..

Agreed. I think I she went there willingly. Maybe losing the baby and not being able to conceive was more than she wanted to handle, she and Mark were having issues, and she said fuck it. Lumon welcomed her in, gave her the first implant, and now she’s trapped there. She said she wanted to go home to Mark and the doctor told her that he’d re-married and had a kid…that she’d been gone a long time. Crazy when she tried to escape and become Ms. Casey…can she leave the building as Gemma?

I don’t think so, but I’m really frustrated that they switched gears to Harmony this last episode when I was really getting into the Gemma situation.
And that thing about how the guy/dr. was gonna have to “let her go” after Mark finished the Cold Harbor project…that creeped me out. I’m spinning with the possibilities.

This is my favorite show right now with Silo running a VERY close second.

As someone who suffered a similar personal tragedy, the show does a wonderful job of exploring human trauma and identity. The cinematography and performances are just perfect. The score is brilliant and haunting. Everything about the show is a mood let me tell you.

Just finished season 2 this morning.

I hope they finish strong. It’s starting off so good but so did “Lost” and “The Leftovers” and those were quite the disappointment at the end.

I know spoilers are allowed in this thread, but if you haven’t watched it yet, don’t read anymore until watch the finale.

I absolutely did not see that coming.

Holy shit.

The entire show is ridiculously good, and man what a season finale. Just give Adam Scott (Mark), Tramell Tillman (Mr Milchick), and cinematographer Jessica Lee Gagne’ Emmys right now. I saw someone on X comment something like “I know I should be in awe of the acting, writing, and directing, but fuck that, Ben Stiller should be labeled a war criminal for ending it like that and destroying me” Big Grin Big Grin

That’s awesome^^^^^^^. I enjoyed the finale and Mrs Selvig redeemed herself with me as well. Creepy!
Cannot wait to see what happens next season.

“And as I’m duly swamped, I’ll leave you to read it in solitude.”
This scene jerked a laugh out of me. Cherry played the response perfectly.
