But I never saw this video. "Possibly War’s best known song, it’s an homage to the Chicano culture practice of hydraulically hot-rodding classic cars — extends the image to a lifestyle. The song was also heavily influenced by the gas crisis that the United States was suffering at the time (i.e. in the late 1970s). The song’s most distinguishable feature is its driving bass line, which is present for nearly all of the song. It also ends with a siren-like noise that then becomes a saxophone solo – which years later would inspire the sample that drives Flo Rida’s “GDFR (Goin' Down For Real)”. Low Riders aren't Hot Rods, they're cruising cars. Hot Rods are made to go fast, Low Riders are made to go slow.

Yep. Harmonicas come in different keys so you need a bunch of them if you play a bunch of different songs. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

Summer of ‘77 four of us drove from OKC to Chicago for a fraternity school. 4 of us guys, with luggage, cooler and other stuff rode in a Vega station wagon, and yeah, it did ride a little low on this trip. If you know the Vega, rode in one, you knew. One of the guys got it as a High School graduation present. My 1st College Semester, Fall ‘76, and this was my favorite song Low Rider. Yes, I had the 33&1/3rd LP. If you had a Marantz receiver and a separate Marantz turntable and Marantz speakers you were THE MAN. LOL. I had a crappy all-in-one stereo, 8-track, record player, with crappy speakers, from TG&Y, but it worked. .This message has been edited. Last edited by: OKCGene,
