I was wanting to watch a movie with my oldest son today and couldn't decide on what to watch. What would you suggest for a war setting movie that is appropriate for an eight year old? I'd considered some titles such as "Sgt. York" or perhaps "Sands of Iwo Jima". I'd like to keep run time around 90 minutes with mild language and non graphic violence?

I will go with the Fighting Seabees. John Wayne does bite the bullet, but no graphic violence. Lots of rabble rousing. Still a must in Navy Basic Training I hear.

8 years old?

I don’t know. I was raised on Three Stooges, Combat, Gunsmoke and the rest. If nobody got wacked or slapped I got bored rather quickly.
