Eating elephants one bite at a time |
This is currently streaming on the ROKU channel for free. I took the time to watch it and I am glad I did. Now please don't go into this thinking you're going to see life changing theater. It's a biopic of someone who had a successful career doing parody music. Enjoy it for what it is. https://youtu.be/HnPAi5jBp1w

Not the first positive review I've read. Will be checking this one out as well. The Enemy's gate is down.

Really enjoy Wierd Al's stuff, and have been a fan of Dr. Demento since the '70s. We just got a new Roku stick, need to fire it up and watch this!

I can't believe I watched this the other day, nothing else on and the price was right. A few minutes in I'm thinking no way but it's so audacious in it's goofiness and a parade of B and C listers, yep, glad I stuck with it. An historical note, Al performs "Another One Rides the Bus" on Tom Snyder's show, Snyder cementing his place as a dork's dork. How can anyone not love this... For forty years I have believed that Weird Al Yankovich and Yakov Smirnoff were the same person. "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, pilot and author, lost on mission, July 1944, Med Theatre.

A fair review without too many spoilers. There were some A listers too. The pool party was awesome!

Little ray of sunshine |
Well, that was fun. Both to see Yankovic and Snyder. My dad resembled Tom Snyder (or visa versa) to the degree that when I see Snyder on TV or the internet, I do a double-take. It is uncanny. They were the same age, too. They always had the same haircut and wore the same kind of white-guy clothes. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

saw that on my Roku feed and have it market to watch. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

Watched it this past weekend... it is entertaining but I don't expect to see any Oscar nominations for it... It's a parody of a guy who does parodies.... Spoiler alert: He's killed by an assassin hired by his ex-girl friend Madonna who now runs the Mexican Drug cartel. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

Yes, back in the days when people would laugh at funny stuff and NOT be offended. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter) seems to be an odd casting choice. "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

It was very reminiscent of UHF. I enjoyed it immensely. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.
