The first Farm Aid was an unbelievable group of talent. The company I worked for was involved and I was asked to recruit 10 guys who would work on the stage all day with TNN. I quickly got my brother and others. We followed camera operators around and held the coax cable so they didn't have to, as well as other gopher duties.
All day I was rubbing shoulders with most of the top singers at the time. Miller had a tent as did Tyson and I feasted on fried chicken and High Life. I had a "Go Anywhere" pass.
Dang, has that been 40 years? Now I need to go take a nap.
