Saw this for the first time. Filmed in NYC in the 1970s. Pacino in his first major film role. Interesting character study about the relationship between two heroin addicts. Rather depressing, but reality based. At least the director did not kill off the main characters in the end. Pacino easily fit the role of a street hustler.

I hated to see the dog jump off the ferry.
