Tonight is the start of the final season of Starz Black Sails series.
Bummed that this will be it, I've very much enjoyed the series. If you haven't watched, it's well worth it, basic premise, it's the prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson's novel Treasure Island, using a variety of actual historical figures.

Glad to hear it's off to a good start. Really looking forward to it. I usually wait until pay channel show seasons are done, turn on the channel for a month on Amazon, and then binge. It's going to be hard to wait.

I stumbled onto this show on Starz and have enjoyed the series. Actors and production crew mostly out of South Africa and it gives the show a little different feel than Hollywood production.
I have a few SIGs.

I saw the last episode last night. I'm bummed the show is over. Then ending did a clear job of showing how everything went on, but it seemed rushed and should've been spread over 2 episodes or something. I'm not going to leave any spoilers, but what did you guys think about the ending?
I'm going to miss this series from the next to the last episode I read Treasure Island when I was around 9 or 10 years old. I expected something way different than this ending!

This is one of the better series' put-out by cable television. Very well written and enough intrigue and historical background to keep you returning. The 'what if's' are plausible enough.

Man I haven't read Treasure Island in a bit! I liked how they used historical names even if they didn't exactly follow history. I got a kick out of Rackham's new crewman, "Mark" Reed. Nice touch
The show was full of great characters and interesting twists. And man the scenery was so beautiful! When I watched the first few episodes I was impressed with the scenes out on the ocean. I though they were very well done. And on land in Nassau I thought they captured the "pirate town" vibe pretty good.
