Have not a clue about any of those and wonder if they can be described and reviewed by any of you.

Just learned about Binaural because I saw both a regular and a binaural mix for a Jean Michel Jarre album. Not a fan of JMJ audio pyrotechnics but must concede he knows his way around sound.

A frequent Xbox player without headphones. Am I missing much? Can’t say movie watching a lot these past years but the Dolby Atmos for headset constant advertising is eroding my will.

My cans are far from spectacular as far as your market offerings go, an ESS 522(?) I grabbed because I had the chance. Paid $400 for them.
Used to be a Koss man back when they were heavier than my head.

If your headphones are high enough quality and the material was mixed in Dolby Atmos, it can be amazing as the soundstage expands. It’s like going from mono to 5.1. However, if the material wasn’t mixed for Atmos or it’s being converted to Atmos, then it’s just going to sound worse.

Nicky,

I'm a big headphone fan. With proper source material the experience can be amazingly immersive.

Never was a fan of surround sound from speakers as 99.9% of the source material for that format was gimmicky. But binaural with cans is really enjoyable. Haven't heard enough Atmos mixes through my cans to offer a personal opinion but from what others have said it too is amazing.
