To buy a new printer or not to buy a new printer. That.... is the question.

Decisions, decisions lol Big Grin

I don't need another printer and I definitely don't have the room for another printer BUT...

One of mine is currently down. It is a scratch built I.... built.... around 10 years ago. It has been a great printer, but late last year it started having issues.

It can be fixed but the biggest issue is, the stuff that needs to be changed, the parts I used are not available anymore and would require money and a good amount of reworking/redesigning of several things to get it back up and running again with currently available parts.

Fixing it would still be cheaper than buying a new printer, but it's been sitting untouched, unloved and collecting dust for quite a while now because I just haven't had the ambition to tear into it and figure out the redesigns and parts and such to get it running again.

Retiring the printer and buying new would definitely be the easier route, but is also more money which I don't really need to spend.

This hobby is frustrating at times Frown
